Pink Lime Pit is a 60ft hole on a ridge of limestone rock located on a range west of Salt Lake City. The pit is said to have been an ancient volcanic fumarole or geyser and if the bottom material were dug out, the pit would become considerably deeper. No other pits were located in the area but a contact layer of metamorphic rock stretches across the range suggesting more dormant geothermal features may exist. At the bottom, multiple near-perfect circular holes were visible at the top of the room along with solutional formations including bacon drapery and a column in the ceiling. Blowhole Cave, which blows 70-degree air year-round, is nearby along with Monte Carlo Cave and Windlass Cave — all multi-drops worth checking out.
