Mining Canyon Cave, Nevada

Nevada never ceases to amaze me when it comes to what lies under our feet. We continually find more and more amazing places and artifacts within the world under us. Some of these places are quite high in elevation and have large entrances. Other caves don't seem to make sense that they are there.

Large entrances, vertical drops, chambers, crystals, artifacts, and glaciers are just some of the things we find in the caves of Nevada. It is super delicate to maneuver around in this environment and we must be able to protect these lands.

These are places where life forms — some of which are endangered or quite rare. Other anomalies are preserved in these caves and are in need of study. One thing we can do is join the local caving organizations in your area. This will allow you to learn safe caving practices and how to navigate through caves without breaking or damaging the environment. We are looking forward to meeting you and learning about your purpose to develop into a project caver.
