Goblin Valley State Park, Utah

Goblin Valley State Park is one of Utah's most unique landscapes — a valley filled with thousands of mushroom-shaped sandstone hoodoos called goblins. The formations were carved by differential erosion of the Entrada sandstone and create an otherworldly terrain unlike anything else in the Southwest.

The park is relatively uncrowded compared to Zion or Arches and the freedom to wander among the goblins off-trail makes it a wonderful destination for exploration and photography. Combining Goblin Valley with Leprechaun Canyon and nearby slot canyons makes for a fantastic multi-day adventure in the Hanksville region.
