Toothbrush Cave, Utah

Toothbrush Cave is located just east of Little Brush Creek Cave in the Ashley National Forest. The entrance was almost covered to the rim with snow, so we climbed up and over it and down a 45-degree slope to the 40ft drop. There is a decent anchor that can rig to a dead tree stempled across the pit, or rig a long rope to a tree at the surface. At the bottom, a passage leads to Toothbrush Hall — named for an icicle column connected to the wall. The ceiling reaches about 40ft high and continues to a sloping passage that turns into a crawl after a couple hundred feet. Worth seeing if you're already visiting Big Brush Creek Cave, but not a destination cave on its own.
