Angel Creek Canyon, Ouray, CO

Ouray is located in the beautiful San Juan mountains of southwest Colorado. Canyoneering typically occurs July through September — a small window, and you also have to consider flash flood potential from rain storms. But if you have the time to go to Ouray, GO! Angel Creek Canyon is one of those beautiful canyons — about an hour car to car, but don't let that fool you, it's a great introduction to Ouray canyoneering.

Water was flowing just enough to get acclimated into the environment. There are 4 raps with an optional escape after the 3rd rap. When you get to Ouray and are looking to ramp up in C class, this canyon has straightforward raps and a scenic introduction to the Ouray experience.
