Agama Cave, Nevada

Photos by Scott Swaney. Agama Cave was discovered by Jason and Tamara Ballensky about a month before this visit. The cave has a 30ft entrance pit with a natural bridge going over it. After checking the dead-end leads nearby, we headed over to Agama. Pit drops into a small room with a high lead that went back up 20ft to a blind room.

The other side of the room has a short but super dusty crawl where all the wind blows through — instant dust devil in the face. We called it the Powder Coat Crawl since everyone came through covered in dust. Beyond the crawl: a vaulted karst window overlooking the desert below with signs of formation growth on the walls. No additional leads in the ceilings — but an interesting through-trip. Discover by Jason and Tamara Ballensky.
