Pot-O-Gold Lava Tube Cave is nearly 1.4 miles in length and ranks as the third longest lava tube cave in the continental United States. The main tube is a large trunk passage that continues into a breakdown pile — slow going but mainly walking. Formations decorate the walls increasingly toward the back of the cave. Visited during an overnight Idaho lava tube cave trip alongside Gypsum Cave with the Silver Sage Grotto. An all-night driving trip worth every mile.
